Single crystals of the hexagonal triangular lattice compound #92;#92;mathrmAgCrSe_2 have been grown by chemical vapor transport. The crystals have been carefully characterized and studied by magnetic susceptibility, magnetization, specific heat, and thermal expansion. A single crystal of the Co2 based pyrochlore NaCaCo2F7 was studied by inelastic neutron scattering.
